Universal Music group is a huge brand and one that has stood the test of time throughout the ages. It is in fact the largest of the “big four” record companies with a staggering operating income of $1440m in 2010 (Wikipedia)
What we are trying to achieve with this audit is to look at another ‘super brand’ and look for characteristics and signs as to who is conducting their SEO and why they are doing it.
Super Brands have money to burn, they are not going to be hit as significantly as a smaller website that has very limited resources. After all, marketing can be scaled, but the companies with the reserves are the ones that have no excuses. On the other hand, it is often a very hard task to convince an organisation this big that they need SEO because it is often a decision within that is the catalyst for change rather than outside intervention.
Having said that we are going to focus on the following for this audit to create the best, most in depth and complete open source audit for you, the community.

All of the above will be studied to check the organic nature of the work and to show you how to keep your presence looking organic too.
Also a study to check to see if they are using the assets that they have to dominate as they should.
